Non-traditional Security Studies encompasses management of all non-military threats and challenges to a nation’s survival. This includes armed conflicts within, challenges arising from Climate Change, empowerment of the people and availability of critical resources. This programme intends to carryout empirical and qualitative research in the fields challenging the Non-traditional Security in India, with a view to evolve and advocate policies that mitigate the threats. The focus areas are:
