Qualifications and Role Specifications

Senior Research Officer (Emerging Technologies)

To undertake research and allied academic activities in emerging technologies in national security.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications 

•       PhD/ Post Graduate degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering etc.

•       If the candidate is from Industry then proven experience in the security/development industry with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

•       If the candidate 1.s from academia then proven experience of curating and offering courses in EmergingTechnologies such as Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing etc for students/industry/policy makers.

•       Experience in collaborating with Industry, Academia and other stake holders.

Desired Qualifications 

•       Certifications such as CEH, OSCP, etc.

•        Experience with Agile software development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA and Trello or equivalent.

•       CVE registered/reported, Bug Bounty, Hall of Fame in the name of the candidate.

Role Specifications

•       To lead research and activities in the area of emerging and deep technologies.

•       Secure research grants.

•       Act as lead researcher.

•       Supervise junior researchers and interns.

•       Undertake collaborative and independent research.

•       Lead, organise and support CNSS academic platforms for research engagement and dissemination (conferences, seminars, etc.).

•       Actively engage in evolving academic curricula to be offered by CNSS.

•       Support CNSS Calls for Papers, and Editorial Boards of CNSS Publications.

•       Publish at least one ISBN book every two years.
